I was in complete awe too see the numbers of Wiper hitting the surface. It reminds me Stripers on Lake Texoma. So many fish so little time LOL! The 5 of us had a ball. Your definitely the best at what you do Roger Bahre. Your going to need more goldfish. See you next year!
The night fishing spawn runs from mid March till late April. Then we move to day fishing Walleye on the flats from early May to late June.
One of the best night fishing Walleye spawn experiences I've had. I didn't realize the Kansas spawn was so good. Leaving with a new Kansas PB, 9.5 lb tank. Wilson Lake is absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to hook up with you again in May on Lake Oahe SD.
Dragging spinners, and casting on feeding Walleye never gets old. I am amazed at the number of 20" Walleye Milford has to offer. Love the CPR (catch photo release) format, it seems to be working on growing the fish. Many of our fish are 16's. Its nice to catch so many bigger fish, 26" is my new Kansas PB. Thank you Roger Bahre for a great Walleye experience on Marion Lake! It was nice to catch so many fish close to home. I am stunned that my husband and I caught 40+ Walleye in one morning right in our own neighborhood. Kansas Outdoor Sports is the best, see you next year!
The Crappie spawn begins early May and runs till late May. During the spawn huge numbers of Kansas Crappie can be caught in the rocky shallows. Don't forget about the winter Crappie bite. The Kansas Crappie of December are legendary for size and quantity.
The Crappie in Central Kansas are huge! Of the 60+ we caught, 5 would make Master Angler Awards. 12" to 14" Crappie were common, with several over the 16" mark! I can't believe the quality of fish in Central Kansas. Great job Roger Bahre, see you again this summer for some of that Top Water Wiper action!

What a great trip! I never dreamed Crappie could be that big. I'm used to 10" fish with an occasional 12", definitely worth the short 1 1/2 hr drive for this. See you soon for some of those Blue Cats!
Milford Lake is renowned as one of the premier Blue Cat Lakes in the central US! These things are hangry all year!
I have never caught so many White Bass at sunset! Ever! Drifting White Bass cut bait at night obviously is the ticket for big cats on Milford lake. Absolute ball, going home with plenty of them scrumptious Kansas Cats! Thank you Roger Bahre, see you next year!
